Kevin Sorbo Will Share His Story at the Colorado Neurological Institute's Annual Gala



On Saturday, September 29th, Kevin Sorbo will be the keynote speaker at the annual Colorado Neurological Institute’s fundraising gala. As a strong leading man in the iconic television show “Hercules, the Legendary Journeys,” Sorbo’s acting brought a refreshing cadence to Hollywood. His portrayal of the “half-god” hunk quickly laid the foundation and path to stardom in the title role. What many people don’t know is that the young, athletic, health-conscious Sorbo suffered a series of strokes during the filming the series, which aired from 1994 to 1999.

 At the age of 38, these strokes left him partially blind and incapacitated. Sorbo writes about the health crisis that ultimately redefined his measure of success in his inspiring memoir, True Strength: My Journey from Hercules to Mere Mortal and How Nearly Dying Saved My Life (October 2011, De Capo Press).

 On September 29, Kevin Sorbo will be in Denver to share his story and inspire people at the Colorado Neurological Institute’s annual gala. All are welcome to purchase tickets and join in the sharing of his courageous and inspiring story.

 The event will take place at Palazzo Verdi near Fiddler’s Green. A VIP reception, silent auction in the Madden gallery, a beautiful seated dinner prepared by Epicurean and live music will accompany the Greek décor and toga attire (for some) at this beautiful and architecturally rich venue. It will truly be a night to remember.

For those of you who like golf, read on. for those who don't, skip this one!

This past Monday I played in Oscar De La Hoya's celebrity golf event.......I got a hole in one on Lakeside number 6, 174 yards with a 7 iron! High, slight fade just missing the tree guarding the left half of the green, landing softly 6 feet left of the flag, taking a small bounce and rolling into left side of the cup! Thank you very much!!
