Dean Cain, Kevin Sorbo head to Apartment 23

Dean Cain has signed on to appear as himself in ABC's new midseason comedy Apartment 23, which co-stars James Van Der Beek, Entertainment Weekly reports.
The series stars Dreama Walker as a small-town girl who moves to New York and is hustled by her nightmare of a roommate (Krysten Ritter), whose best friend is Van Der Beek, playing a fictionalized version of himself. Cain, who starred in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, will play the Beek's rival.

Kevin Sorbo, who is best-known for his title role in Hercules and for portraying Capt. Dylan Hunt on Andromeda, will also appear as himself in another episode as a wedding date for Ritter's Chloe.
Apartment 23 is slated to premiere midseason on ABC.
