Kevin Sorbo
TV Actor
Kevin Sorbo has enjoyed success on television for over 20 consecutive years, a feat rarely accomplished by an actor.
Sorbo quickly rose to stardom in the title role of the hit TV series, "Hercules, the Legendary Journeys” in 1993. The innovative action hour revitalized the entire action/adventure genre and fostered two spin-off series; "Xena, Warrior Princess” and "Young Hercules.” Sorbo also directed two episodes of the show and co-wrote one.
Sorbo has guest-starred on the hit shows "Just Shoot Me," "According to Jim," "Hope and Faith," "Two and a Half Men," "The Middleman," "Psych," and had recurring roles on "Dharma and Greg” and on FOX’s "The OC” in 2006-2007.
Since 1997, Sorbo has also been a spokesman for A World Fit For Kids, a non-profit organization that provides gang, drug, and dropout prevention to teens through mentoring programs.
At the age of 38, out of the blue, he began experiencing troubling symptoms in his left arm and hand, including intermittent pain, aching, tingling, and cold sensations. An MRI revealed that Sorbo had suffered three distinct strokes, accounting for dizziness and vision loss. The precise cause of his strokes remains unknown.
He recently wrote a book describing how this near death experience has affected his life, and is now telling his story on the Lifechangers stage to help pay it forward.
