Ali's Big Surprises!!!
I saw the Santa Suit with Kevin Sorbo the other night and liked it so much that I decided to vote for it on IMDb. While there I decided what the heck I'll write a review (never did it before) to get the word out. So I wrote this review:
A Santa lesson, 5 December 2010

The best Christmas movie I have seen in decades. Kevin Sorbo does and exceptional job in the role of Drake. Sorbo's character is realistic and believable and not over the top. I laughed and cried and can't wait to watch it again and again. If it has been ages since a movie has touched your heart then this is a must see. If you want to watch a Christmas movie that makes you feel you have not wasted 2 hours of your time, then this is the one to see. If you want to watch a movie that you can't walk away from even on the commercials then sit back and enjoy this ever so worthwhile movie. This is a movie that should be watched year long and not just at Christmas. Honestly, I can't say enough about this movie, except "Watch it!"
After it was approved I was surprised to get a response from the screen writer and wanted to share it with Kevin's fans. Here it is:
Dear Alison,
I'm the screenwriter on "The Santa Suit." Thank you so much for your kind review.
This script has an especially warm place in my heart. I intially came up with the premise when I was stuck in traffic in west Los Angeles on a miserably hot afternoon. I wrote a couple pages down and when Hallmark bought it a few months later the script almost wrote itself. And if I can be allowed to pay myself on the back a little, I'm thrilled with the way it turned out, considering we had a very limited budget and only twelve days shooting time.
Kevin Sorbo, of course, was the perfect Drake. He combines leading man looks with the ability to do comedy which is a pretty rare talent, and he is just absolutely charming. The nicest thing is that he was like that in real life. He was joy to work with, totally professional, easy-going, unflappable.
Thanks again for taking the time out to write your review. The networks read them, and it should help us sell more movies to them. They're already talking about some more Christmas movies for next year.
Best,
Kevin Commins

POISON SKY The Movie
SHORT SYNOPSIS
Fresh from his residency program, Dr. David Gibson takes off for a small town in Arizona to spend a few relaxing weeks with his fiancée, Samantha Grey. But shortly after he arrives, he is pulled into a growing series of events resulting from mysterious illnesses, and even deaths, of the
fine citizens of this quaint town.
David discovers a small amount of a green gooey substance caught in the hair of a young child… her reaction to the effects of the substance brings her close to the brink of death. As he researches the source of this chemical mixture, more citizens of the town come forward with similar medical crisis.
His fiancé, attorney Samantha Grey, calls on the resources of the law firm where she works. But even the esteemed Judge in town seems to shut down their theories at every turn. Determined to find the truth, they are shocked to find similar situations worldwide.
Their search catches the attention of a secret society, whose members will do anything to keep their agendas hidden and their purposes on track. The head of the organization has global ties that go back generations. Their clandestine methods have no boundaries. Did David and Samantha stumble onto proof of the sinister intent of the group? Are the various governments a part of a global conspiracy? If so, what is their ultimate goal?
