Kevin Sorbo had three strokes while shooting 'Hercules: The Legendary Journeys''
Kevin Sorbo's "Hercules" was famous for his feats of strength. But how about powering through three strokes? Now that's impressive...
Sorbo revealed
to Neurology Now that in 1997, the actor experienced aches, tingles,
and cold sensations in his left side. The sensations quickly spiraled
into slurred speech and dizziness; Hospital tests revealed that Sorbo
had suffered an aneurysm in an artery near his shoulder.
A surgically implanted angiogram tube helped alleviate the
symptoms, however it was determined that Sorbo experienced three
strokes.
"I felt like I had been transformed overnight from a
youthful, carefree jock into someone who needed to grasp the backs of
chairs and counters for an arduous five-yard trip to the bathroom,"
Sorbo recalls in his book "True Strength: My Journey from Hercules to
Mere Mortal and How Nearly Dying Saved My Life."
Three strokes he LATER discovered. Way to cowboy up, Sorbo.
