This
from a friend of mine…..I took out number 3 here since it would have
been a spoiler alert for fans who have not seen my movie……GO SEE IT THIS
WEEKEND!
Oh! My! Gosh! I don't even know where to begin.
Sunday, I took my 9 y/o daughter with me to see God's Not Dead at Muvico. I just want to tell you that:
1) I am glad I know you enough to know that was "acting" because you were a jerk and an ass and I couldn't stand your character!! Cashe even leaned over about half way through and said, "Mommy? Mr. Kevin DOES believe in Jesus, right?" WOW!! You did a truly tremendous job and should be SO SO SO proud of yourself!!! Seriously! I am still digesting how much I didn't like that character and am even MORE sad that there really are people out there thinking like he thinks
2) You kind of, sort of, FORGOT to warn me to bring an entire BOX of tissue!! I cannot remember a movie where I was so emotionally moved - in ALL directions! It was fabulous, although I would have worn darker glasses had I known what to expect!!
Needless to say, almost 3 days later and the entire film is still resonating with and affecting me. I give it, and you, two HUGE thumbs up!! My dad wants to see it too (even before hearing my review) and I'm going back to watch it again with him! I am so grateful that this quality of film is in the mainstream and I can spend an afternoon with my baby girl watching a movie that provokes thought and question and most importantly gives me hope for humanity.
The theater was about 75% full and EVERYONE that I could hear were sharing my emotions. Laughter, disgust, happiness, tears, and the desire to jump out of our chairs when the Newsboys played (I had no idea they were older - that was pretty cool too!)!! I loved it all! Even...Prof Jerk-face, at the end.
Thank you for creating this!
Have an amazing day and know how highly you are thought of for your work in God's Not Dead. You were exceptional!
